FAQs
WHERE WOULD THE ASSESSMENT TAKE PLACE?
Assessment and treatment normally take place within your own home, making sessions as meaningful and functional as possible. If you live in a residential or nursing home, treatment can take place where you are. Your therapist will work alongside the staff.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
You will be informed of your exact fee prior to your initial assessment. There will be an additional charge if the therapist will travel further than 10 miles to get to you.
HOW DO I PAY?
You will receive an invoice for treatment after the end of each month. Invoices will be sent by email - unless a paper invoice is requested. Our preferred payment method is BACS (Bank transfer) - but we also accept cheques.
CAN I REFER MYSELF?
Yes, you can - however, PWYA also takes referrals from GPs, consultants, therapists and other health care professionals.
DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO A NUMBER OF TREATMENTS AFTER THE INITIAL ASSESSMENT?
No, you can stop treatment at any stage.
CAN MY FAMILY OR CARER BE PRESENT?
Yes, we encourage your family/carers to be involved in your rehabilitation.
